The word “Conde” comes from the Latin comes, comitis which means companion or associate. Its origin goes back to the comitis - the emperor’s companions – in the Early Roman Empire. In feudal terminology, a county is a lower rank than that of marquisate and duchy – and comites were the armed companions of kings or higher ranks, who received land or a manor (señorío) in recognition of their duty, and on a hereditary basis over which they exercised a feudal right.
MACABEO - CHARDONNAY
80% MACABEO - 20% CHARDONNAY
This wine is made with Macabeo and Chardonnay varieties. The Macabeo variety adapts very well to different types of soils and climates. It is widely grown in Catalonia, where it has adapted extremely well. Some people place its origin in the Ebro river basin. The Chardonnay variety originally came from Burgundy in France and due to its adaptability, it has become the most widespread and widely-recognized white variety around the world.
Pale yellow colour, with floral (jasmine) aromas on a background of fresh fruit (apricot, grapefruit) from the Macabeo grapes which blend with the mineral notes from the Chardonnay grapes. In the mouth, it is crisp and well-balanced, with an elegant finish in which its aromas unfold yet again. Each variety is fermented separately, having been picked at just the right time on the basis of strict checks on the ripening process. Gentle pressing and fermentation for 15 days at a temperature of 15 ºC in stainless steel vats. Ageing on lees from fermentation to increase its body in the mouth. Clarified and filtered.

TEMPRANILLO

Tempranillo is the most emblematic grape in our country and the most widely cultivated, particularly in the region of La Rioja. It is a traditional variety that has adapted very well in Catalonia.
It presents a dark red cherry colour which is highly characteristic of this variety, and reveals distinct forest fruit and liquorice notes in the mouth. By working with vineyards with a large difference in temperature between day and night, we achieve optimal ripening of polyphenols and preservation of aromas. In the winery, maceration lasts no longer than 10 days in order to preserve harder tannins and crisp aromas. Fermentation at 28 ºC.

CRIANZA
60% CABERNET SAUVIGNON
40% TEMPRANILLO
This wine is made from the Cabernet Sauvignon and Tempranillo varieties. Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the most widely-recognized varieties in the world. It originally came from the Bordeaux region in France, and thanks to its excellent adaptation, nowadays it can be found all over the world. In our country, however, the traditional Tempranillo variety is the most widely-grown red grape variety.
Intense cherry colour with tawny tones on the rim. Aromas of ripe fruit and spices blend with elegant notes from the ageing process. On the mouth, it is fleshy, with complex flavours on a bed of balanced, well-integrated tannins. After precise control of ripening, the two grape varieties are fermented separately at a controlled temperature of 26 ºC. After 12 days of maceration using the pigeage system, the wine is aged for 6 months in French and American oak barrels before the final coupage.
It is a Crianza wine, so it has been aged for 2 years, and for at least 6 months of this time in oak barrels.

This wine is made with Tempranillo (a traditional variety and the most widely-grown red grape in our country) and Cabernet Sauvignon (one of the most widely- recognized varieties around the world which originally came from the Bordeaux region in France).
It presents an intense red colour. Ripe fruit aromas with distinct balsamic touches over elegant notes of vanilla and coconut. After precise control of ripening, grapes are fermented at a controlled temperature of 26 ºC. Maceration for 18 days to achieve the right structure for subsequent ageing for 12 months in French and American oak barrels.
It is a Reserva wine that has been aged for 3 years, and for at least 12 months of this time in oak barrels.
Strong cheese, pork meat, grilled vegetables, Tiramisu.
